Michael Carter Practices In Full Thursday
3 years agoNew York Jets rookie running back Michael Carter (concussion) returned to a full practice on Thursday and is on track to clear the league's concussion protocol and play in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Buffalo Bills. The 22-year-old was on pace for a big day in last week's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before suffering a concussion and being ruled out. Tevin Coleman is back from the COVID-19 list to close out the season, but if Carter is fully cleared from concussion protocols, he figures to see the majority of New York's backfield touches against Buffalo. However, Ty Johnson and Austin Walter lurk as candidates to steal touches away. At best, Carter will be a low-end RB2 if he's active.
