Michael Chavis Starts Triple-A Rehab Stint Thursday
3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates second baseman Michael Chavis (elbow) will start a rehab assignment for Triple-A Indianapolis on Thursday, Mike Persak of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported. The 22-year-old was placed on the 10-day injured list two weeks ago with a right elbow strain. Chavis has only played in six games for the Pirates since being acquired at the trade deadline but has played well, hitting .364/.364/.591 over that span with one home run, two RBI, and four runs scored on eight hits.
