Michael Chavis Suspended 80 Games For PEDs
7 years agoBoston Red Sox top hitting prospect Michael Chavis has been suspended 80 games for a positive PED test, according to Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com. Chavis does not know how he tested positive, according to Michael Silverman of the Boston Herald. He is a 2014 first round draft pick that finished 2017 in Double-A Portland, compiling 31 total homers. Chavis will not be eligible to play for any minor league team until the end of June. Chavis should not be owned in redrafts. In dynasty leagues, this deflates some of his value and subsequently the team's ability to move him in a trade, a likely option with the major league roster full of depth.
