4 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto (wrist) is back in the Mets' lineup on Wednesday for their game against the Phillies. He was hit in the wrist by a pitch from Jose Alvarado that was clocked at 100 mph in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against Philadelphia. Conforto remained in the game but sat out the second game of the doubleheader. X-rays on Conforto's wrist came back negative and his absence from the Mets' lineup was minimal, fortunately for the Mets and his fantasy managers. Conforto will bat sixth in Thursday's game, dropping down from third in the batting order due to a slow start to the 2021 campaign in which he is slashing .130/.286/.174 through six games.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
