Michael Conforto Blasts Two Home Runs Monday
3 years agoAfter a season-long slumber, New York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto is finally breaking out. A day after hitting a clutch go-ahead home run in Pittsburgh, Conforto belted two home runs in the Mets 15-11 win over the Reds in Cincinnati on Monday. Conforto went 3-for-6 with the two home runs, three RBI, and three runs scored. Over his last seven games, Conforto now has hit .364/.481/1.000 with four homers, eight RBI, and five runs scored in 22 at-bats. Despite overall season totals which are less than impressive, it appears the Michael Conforto we saw in 2020 has returned (at least in the short term). Fantasy managers who may have benched Conforto should get him active to ride this hot streak for however long it may last.
