3 years agoAfter a season-long slumber, New York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto is finally breaking out. A day after hitting a clutch go-ahead home run in Pittsburgh, Conforto belted two home runs in the Mets 15-11 win over the Reds in Cincinnati on Monday. Conforto went 3-for-6 with the two home runs, three RBI, and three runs scored. Over his last seven games, Conforto now has hit .364/.481/1.000 with four homers, eight RBI, and five runs scored in 22 at-bats. Despite overall season totals which are less than impressive, it appears the Michael Conforto we saw in 2020 has returned (at least in the short term).
