Michael Conforto Crushes His Fifth Homer
4 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto went 1-for-3, scored twice, walked twice, and hit a solo home run in the Mets' 5-4 win over the Marlins on Wednesday. Conforto is now batting .324/.444/.520 to go with five home runs and 14 RBI in 102 at-bats on the season. Conforto's stock has risen in this short season and, along with Dominic Smith and Robinson Cano, has proven to be one of the Mets' most effective and consistent hitters. Given his start to the season and his ability to crush lefties, his role as a fixture in the Mets' lineup in right field remains secure. Managers in weekly lineup formats should confidently keep Conforto active while he is hitting second in the Mets' potent lineup
