Michael Conforto Has A Deadline Wednesday
2 years agoFormer New York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto has to sign with a team on Wednesday if he wants to be eligible to play in the postseason. His agent, Scott Boras, has said that Conforto will sign this year. The 29-year-old had surgery on his right shoulder in mid-April, but he should be able to return in September as a potential designated hitter for a contending club. Conforto was an All-Star with the Mets back in 2017, and he hit .232/.344/.384 with 14 home runs, 55 RBI, 52 runs scored and a stolen base in 479 plate appearances over 125 games for the Mets last season. It remains to be seen if he'll actually sign with a team, but if he does, he might be an option for fantasy managers in need of offense in deeper fantasy leagues.
