Michael Conforto Hits First Homer Since June 16
6 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto has played much better as of late but still was not hitting for any power. On Tuesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates, that changed. In a 4-3 victory, Conforto finished 1-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and a walk. It was Conforto’s first home run since June 16 and his 10th of the season. Conforto had a seven-game hitting streak snapped in an 0-for-3 effort on Monday (but did walk twice), so it was great to see the 25-year-old rebound with a long ball in this one. We’re still hesitant to buy here, but there’s no doubt the arrow is trending upward for Conforto.
