Michael Conforto Homers On Saturday
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in the Mets 5-3 loss to the Phillies on Saturday. Despite not starting against lefty Ranger Suarez, Conforto was called upon to replace Brandon Drury in right field once Suarez was removed from the game. Conforto has been a terrible disappointment in 2021 posting a .203./331/.342 slash line with just seven home runs and 25 RBI in 75 games. Despite the solo home run on Saturday, fantasy managers should keep Conforto sidelined until he shows consistent signs of production at the plate. Now approaching mid-August, but for a brief hot streak in mid-July, it is looking like a lost season for the 28-year-old.
