3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto is on the bench for Friday's game against the Atlanta Braves, according to MLB.com. After good production most of his career, he's been merely league-average this season, slashing .228/.342/.376 with 13 HRs, 53 RBI, and 50 runs over 123 games. His only value comes in OBP leagues at this point. Kevin Pillar will start in the outfield and bat seventh in his place. Pillar brings a .229 average and .696 OPS into the game, while adding 15 HRs and four stolen bases in 122 games this season. Most of his success comes against left-handers, as he's slashed .242/.258/.425, so with righty Huascar Ynoa on the mound, he should be ignored on the waiver wire.--Spencer Seguin - RotoBaller
