Michael Conforto Picks Up First Hit In Seven Games
6 years agoThe struggles of New York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto have been well-documented, especially in recent days with reports emerging the team could send him to the minor leagues to help him get right. While that still seems like a good idea, Conforto finally did something of note on Wednesday in a 2-0 loss to the Atlanta Braves, even if it wasn’t much. He picked up one of only two Mets hits on the afternoon, finishing 1-for-3 with a walk. It was his first hit in seven games, a span that saw him go 0-for-20. There’s unfortunately no signs he’s going to turn it around anytime soon, and a minor league assignment could legitimately be in his future.
