Michael Conforto Picks Up Two Hits On Tuesday
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto went 2-for-4 with a double in the Mets 12-5 loss to the Braves at home on Tuesday. After what was a horrible first half for the 28-year-old, Conforto had been red hot for a week following the All-Star break until he went 0-for-4 in a game against the Reds on July 20. Conforto had been 2-for-22 (.091) with no extra-base hits over his previous seven games prior to Tuesday's contest. Hopefully, Tuesday's performance will jump-start Conforto's bat once again. Fantasy managers who have benched Conforto over the last week may want to get ready to activate him if he begins to show some level of consistency at the plate. It's been an overall down season for Conforto. He still has time to salvage it for fantasy managers if he can get back into the groove we saw immediately following the All-Star break.
