Michael Conforto Should Be Ready When Baseball Resumes
4 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto (oblique) should be 100 percent ready to play once baseball activities resume. During the suspension of spring training, Conforto had been reportedly taking regular batting practice and team officials were encouraged by his workouts. Conforto, diagnosed with a Grade 1 right oblique strain before spring training was suspended, is now three months removed from the injury. In 2019, Conforto hit .257 with 33 HR, 92 RBI, and seven steals. He is currently projected to be the Mets starting right fielder and to hit in the middle of the Mets potent lineup. With a current ADP of 119 and his injury most likely behind him, Conforto makes for an excellent second or third outfield option in mixed league formats.
