7 years agoWith the New York Mets facing their second left-hander in as many nights on Wednesday against the Miami Marlins, outfielder Michael Conforto will get the night off after playing against a southpaw on Tuesday. Outfielder Jay Bruce will be back in the lineup to patrol right field, while Juan Lagares will make his second consecutive start in center field. Wilmer Flores will also get another start at first base in place of Adrian Gonzalez, who is also sitting due to the opposition starting lefty Jarlin Garcia. The Mets will be seeking their eighth straight win with Zack Wheeler on the mound for his season debut.--John Smith
