Michael Conforto Struggling Since Return From IL
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto went 1-for-4 with an RBI in the Mets 4-3 loss to the Braves on Thursday. Despite driving in a run in the contest, Conforto has struggled at the plate since his return from the injured list back on June 23. Conforto is just 4-for-26 (.154) with one double and two RBI since returning from the significant hamstring strain that kept him sidelined for over a month. On the season, Conforto is slashing just .216/.341/.309 with two homers, 15 RBI, and 12 runs scored over 42 games. In the last year of his current contract with the Mets, Conforto is having a brutal season so far. Fantasy managers in shallow formats may want to keep Conforto on the bench until he shows signs of life at the plate on a consistent basis.
