4 years agoNew York Mets team president Sandy Alderson stated on Monday that outfielder Michael Conforto, along with shortstop Francisco Lindor and pitcher Noah Syndergaard, will be the focus of extension talks this spring. Conforto is due to become a free agent after the 2021 season. As a result, the Mets are looking to get the home-grown, consistent slugger locked into a multi-year contract. With a great surrounding cast, Conforto can potentially provide managers with 30 home runs, and 90-100 RBI, to go with a .270 batting average in 2021. The Mets would be wise to lock Conforto into a long-term deal in advance of a potentially dominant 2021 campaign.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
