6 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto may still not be hitting for any power, but his recent stretch of games was easily his best of 2018. An 0-for-3 finish on Monday against the Pittsburgh Pirates snapped his seven-game hitting streak, but let’s not let that get in the way of the progress he's made. Over the course of those seven games, Conforto slashed .370/.400/.481 (.881 OPS) with three doubles, five runs scored and two RBI. As mentioned, the power hasn’t been there for Conforto, but really nothing has been this year until that hitting streak. Our fingers are crossed this is a sign of good things to come for the 25-year-old.--John Smith
