Michael Crabtree Is The Best Ravens' Receiver To Play This Weekend
6 years agoBaltimore Ravens wide receiver Michael Crabtree has not been involved in the offense that much recently, but that could change in the AFC Wild Card Game against the Chargers on Sunday. The 31-year-old is coming off a Week 17 performance against the Browns where he caught both of his targets for 20 yards. It was the ninth straight outing that the 11th-year pro has failed to haul in more than three passes and marked the sixth occasion in the past seven games that he has been targeted four or fewer times. Also, he has not surpassed 40 receiving yards in any of the last nine contests. Overall, Crabtree has caught 16 of 23 targets for 135 yards and one touchdown since Lamar Jackson took over as the team's starting quarterback. However, Jackson has said that he plans on involving the Ravens' top three receivers more often this weekend. Crabtree is the best bet to have a big day among the team's wideouts because he is the biggest target and has had decent success against the Chargers in the past. The former Texas Tech star pulled in one of four targets in the Ravens' Week 16 victory the Chargers, and he is averaging nearly four receptions for 35.6 yards in nine games while also totaling five touchdowns.
