Michael Fulmer Could See Additional Starts
5 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Michael Fulmer (elbow) is currently rehabbing from Tommy John surgery. He was not expected to return until sometime after the All-Star break. However, the MLB season has now been delayed, which gives him extra time to recover. As a result, he should miss fewer starts. In turn, Fulmer's fantasy value should be boosted once the season eventually starts. It's still difficult to put an exact timeline in place, but we aren't necessarily avoiding the former All-Star in deep mixed drafts due to injury concerns. If he returns to form, he has immense value relative to his extremely late ADP, but don't expect him to be stretched out until much later in the season. He's mostly just a flier for those in deep mixed and AL-only leagues, as he still has a ways to go in his rehab and is pitching for a rebuilding team in the Tigers.
