4 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Michael Fulmer is expected to make his spring debut on Saturday against the Orioles. Fulmer left the team's campsite on Friday to be with his wife for the birth of their child- and he'll have to pass through the team's intake screening and COVID protocols before he can return. The 2016 American League Rookie of the Year is looking to bounce back after injuries have derailed his career as of late. Fulmer logged a 3.67 FIP in 164.1 innings as recently as 2017, posting a 49.2 percent groundball rate while allowing a career-best 0.7 home runs per nine innings. He is likely to go undrafted, though fantasy managers should keep an eye on him on waivers.--Tim Capurso
