2 years agoDallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Gallup (knee) is not expected to play in Week 1 of the regular season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday night, but owner Jerry Jones isn't officially ruling him out yet. "He can do anything you ask of him right now," Jones said. Head coach Mike McCarthy said on Monday that Gallup won't practice this week or play on Sunday. It shouldn't come as a huge surprise, as Gallup already said himself he wouldn't be ready for the season opener as he recovers from a left ACL tear in January. However, the 26-year-old has made excellent progress and could be active as early as Week 2. With Gallup likely out this Sunday, rookie Jalen Tolbert and Noah Brown will battle for targets behind No. 1 wideout CeeDee Lamb.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
