Michael Gallup Suffers Clean ACL Tear
3 years agoAn MRI exam on Monday confirmed that Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Gallup (knee) suffered a clean ACL tear in the Week 17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, according to a source. Gallup will miss the rest of the season, but he is expected to make a full recovery. In just eight games played this season, the 25-year-old caught 32 of his 58 targets for 409 yards and one touchdown. Scheduled to become a free agent after this year, Gallup may have played his final game in Dallas. CeeDee Lamb and Amari Cooper should see more targets the rest of the way as a result, and Cedrick Wilson, who caught all six targets for 35 yards and his fourth TD of the season Sunday, will have an expanded role as the No. 3.
