4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-handed pitcher Michael Lorenzen began his big league career making 21 starts during his rookie season. As he has continued to slots into multiple roles, he has become an integral part of the Reds' bullpen, having amassed a 3.48 ERA over the last four seasons. But heading into 2021, he'll have the chance to rejoin the rotation, with open slots created by the departures of Trevor Bauer and Anthony DeSclafani. Having posted career high marks with a .296 xwOBACON and 26.6 Hard Hit% last year, Lorenzen is coming off of a season of having thrown some of his best stuff despite a rocky start. Even with the closer's job open in Cincy, Lorenzen's season-long appeal would be increased if he breaks camp as a member of the rotation.--Jesse Borek
