4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Michael Lorenzen pitched well in his first start of the 2020 season after making 15 appearances out of the bullpen. Lorenzen allowed one run over five innings while striking out six and scattering four hits in a 4-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. The right-hander joined the rotation to cover for right-hander Sonny Gray, who is dealing with a back strain. While Lorenzen's performance was impressive, keep in mind that it did come against a Pirates offense that has not been very effective this season. Lorenzen is worth adding in deeper, NL-only formats going forward.--Matt T - RotoBaller
