7 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Michael Lorenzen has strained the teres major muscle near his right shoulder and will not throw for several days. Lorenzen was a candidate to make the starting rotation out of Spring Training but the injury will likely preclude him from further consideration for the rotation. This is the same injury which ended teammate Brandon Finnegan's season in 2017, although the team is calling Lorenzen's injury much more minor in nature. Lorenzen was not having a great spring before the injury, posting an 8.38 ERA in 9 1/3 innings of work.--Matt T - RotoBaller
