3 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Michael Lorenzen kept his strong start to the season going on Saturday as he allowed one run over seven innings in a 9-1 win over the Athletics. The 30-year-old gave up five hits and a walk while striking out three in the 99-pitch effort, improving his record to 4-2 on the campaign. Lorenzen's 35 1/3 IP on the year now surpasses his 2021 and 2020 totals as he currently sits with a sturdy 3.57 ERA and 1.10 WHIP with a 24/11 K/BB in his return as a starter. Questions will linger about his durability all season, but for now, managers should continue to roll out the right-hander as he'll face the lowly Athletics lineup again next weekend.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
