3 years agoIt has been a struggle for Michael McDowell aside from a 7th at Austin. The Front Row Motorsports driver has been nowhere near the front row for most of the last two months. He did win at Daytona but has only led 13 laps all season. Furthermore, he did not finish on the lead lap at Dover or Charlotte. On longer runs, McDowell lost track position by as much as 8-10 places at both tracks. It does not appear much will change this week either. The No. 34 Ford hopefully can put together a good qualifying run then try to maintain his place. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
