2 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Michael Pineda (finger) is expected to be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Friday against the Kansas City Royals. He allowed two runs over 3 2/3 innings during his last rehab start with Triple-A Toledo. Pineda has been sidelined since suffering a fractured right middle finger in mid-May. The 33-year-old was off to an excellent start for Detroit before the injury, posting a 3.22 ERA and 1.07 WHIP with a 12:4 K: BB in five starts covering 22 1/3 innings pitched. Pineda is an option in deep-league formats when he returns, but fantasy managers might want to wait for a start or two before using him as a streamer.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
