Michael Pineda Looks Good In Season Debut
6 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Michael Pineda looked good in his first start since 2017. The veteran hurler missed over a season following Tommy John surgery but looked like he hasn't missed a beat on Sunday against the Cleveland Indians. Pineda pitched four shutout innings, striking out five and walking one. He was removed from the game after throwing just 40 pitches as the Twins want to ease him into action following his elbow surgery. While fantasy owners would have liked to see him go another inning to be eligible for the win, Pineda's outing is encouraging. He is worth an add in deeper mixed leagues.
