3 years agoDetroit Tigers pitcher Michael Pineda (finger) suffered a broken finger on his right hand and is expected to be placed on the injured list. He exited Saturday's start against the Baltimore Orioles early after being hit in the hand by a comebacker during the second inning. He sustained a broken right middle finger, and no word yet on surgery. The 31-year-old owned a 3.22 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 12 strikeouts over 22 2/3 innings this season.
