3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Michael Pineda pitched well but took the loss in Monday's 2-0 game against the A's. Pineda pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on six hits (including a solo home run) and two walks with four strikeouts. However, he was outdueled by Paul Blackburn. The veteran now has a 1-2 record with a 3.43 ERA, 12 strikeouts, and four walks over his first four starts of the season. The strikeouts haven't been there for him to this point, but Pineda has looked good otherwise and has always been at least a streaming fantasy option throughout his career. His next start will be stream-worthy against the Orioles at home.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
