Michael Taylor Placed On COVID Injured List
3 years agoThe Kansas City Royals placed outfielder Michael Taylor on the COVID-19 injured list on Thursday and selected outfielder Dairon Blanco's contract from Triple-A Omaha in a corresponding move. Taylor was removed from Wednesday's game after entering the league's COVID protocols. The 31-year-old hasn't been much of a fantasy asset in KC, as he's slashing .238/.333/.337 with two home runs, 12 RBI and 14 runs scored over 33 games played. Kyle Isbel, who is hitting .225/.238/.275 with no homers and three RBI in 42 plate appearances this year, should see regular starts in center field with Taylor on the shelf. Isbel is in center and is batting seventh on Thursday against Chicago White Sox right-hander Vince Velasquez.
