4 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas is lined up to have a big start to his 2020 season. Thomas faces the Buccaneers, who he has enjoyed success against in his career. The All-Pro wideout has averaged just over 11 targets per game in seven career contests against Tampa Bay, including two 100-yard games with touchdowns in last year's showdowns. It should be noted that Emmanuel Sanders is the best number-two receiver the Saints have had in years and Alvin Kamara is back healthy, meaning Thomas won't have to be relied upon as much. Still, head coach Sean Payton likes the matchup of Thomas against the Buccaneers defensive backs and will presumably continue to exploit it. Thomas should easily post WR1 numbers this week.--Tim Capurso
