3 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas (ankle) still has hurdles to clear as he attempts to return from left ankle surgery that kept him out all of last season. "There's still a few hurdles that we've got to climb, with any of our guys that had any injuries they're trying to get back from. We drafted Chris Olave in the first round ... getting Mike back, it's almost like we had two first-round draft choices," head coach Dennis Allen said. Thomas has played only seven games in the last two years due to ankle issues. He's expected to return in 2022, but it remains to be seen if he'll be ready for training camp. The 29-year-old was the NFL Offensive Player of the Year as recently as 2019, so he could be an excellent fantasy value pick if he's healthy this year. Olave's presence will make it hard for Thomas to reach his true ceiling, but he can still be productive if he can stay healthy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
