3 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas (ankle) is expected to hit the physically unable to perform list to start the year as he recovers from ankle surgery. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that this will sideline Thomas for the first six weeks of the season, meaning that he'll miss at least the team's first five games and will have the Week 6 bye to recover. He could potentially be eligible to return for a Monday night game against the Seahawks in Week 7. Thomas had a lost fantasy season in 2020 and was never truly healthy- though he was essentially an automatic WR1 in each of the prior seasons, finishing no worse than WR8 from 2016 to 2019, the year he set the NFL's single-season reception record. The All-Pro wideout is certainly worth stashing, as he could be a contributor for fantasy managers as they push for the playoffs in the second half.--Tim Capurso
