He did not factor into the decision. The 30-year-old was sharp on Wednesday, yielding one unearned run while striking out nine over five innings. It was the second time this season Wacha struck out the Yankees nine times. Wacha owns a 4.79 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and a 66:19 K: BB across 71 1/3 innings in 2021. He should be rostered in deep-league formats as the former Cardinal is expected to remain in the rotation for a contending Rays team.
