3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Michael Wacha allowed one earned run on three hits and no walks while striking out six across five innings during Friday's 10-4 loss to the Detroit Tigers. He did not factor into the decision. The 30-year-old limited the Tigers to one, and his lone mistake was surrendering a solo shot to Tigers catcher Eric Haase. He has now fanned at least six batters over his last four starts. The Rays right-hander owns a 5.37 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and 104 strikeouts in 105 2/3 innings. Wacha has pitched well in September by posting a 2.45 ERA and a 10.6 K/9 over his last 11 frames.
