4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Michael Wacha looked impressive in the Mets 7-4 win over the Red Sox on Monday. Wacha (1-0) went five innings, allowing five hits, including a home run, one earned run, and one walk while striking out four. In 2019, Wacha posted a poor 4.76 ERA and 1.56 WHIP in 126 2/3 innings pitched for the Cardinals. Despite Monday's solid start and the fact he is holding down a rotation spot, Wacha is really only worth a look in deep leagues as a spot starter option. Of course, if Wacha can continue to build on Monday's start and mitigate his home run issues, his value and fantasy outlook may increase.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
