4 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Michael Wacha threw four scoreless innings on Saturday, allowing just one hit while striking out three against the Twins. He has yet to allow a run this spring, as he has allowed just two hits and one walk while striking out five in seven innings of work. Wacha posted a career-worst 6.62 ERA in 34 innings with the Mets last year, but he also posted a career-best 4.5 percent walk rate, while his 23.7 percent strikeout rate and 11.3 percent swinging strike rate were his best marks since his rookie season in 2013.
