6 years agoCarolina Hurricanes left wing Micheal Ferland posted an assist with a plus-one rating, a blocked shot, a minor penalty and a game-best seven hits across 16:58 of ice time in Friday's 4-3 shootout win against the San Jose Sharks. He had his four-game goal-scoring streak snapped, but he has posted at least one point in five straight outings and six goals with 10 points and a plus-7 rating over the past nine contests. Ferland has really enjoyed the change of scenery from Calgary to Carolina, emerging as a must-start fantasy option during the early going.--Daniel Dobish
