2 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mickey Moniak (finger) is taking dry swings after breaking his left middle finger while attempting to bunt. It's a step in the right direction for Moniak, who was traded to the Angels from the Philadelphia Phillies in the deal involving starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard at the trade deadline in early August. The 24-year-old said he expects to return before the end of the season, but even if that comes to fruition, he won't be a fantasy asset with Mike Trout back from his back/ribs injury. Moniak has four hits in 14 at-bats with two home runs and three RBI in his first five games with the Angels, but he has hit .150/.229/.243 with three home runs and eight RBI in 120 major league plate appearances over three seasons in the big leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
