Miguel Andujar Continues Heating Up With Three-Hit Game
4 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman and outfielder Miguel Andujar went 3-for-4 with a triple against the Orioles on Sunday. All three of Andujar’s hits came off of the bat faster than 95 mph, bringing his hard-hit rate up over 51% for the season. Andujar has now started in four consecutive games since his most recent call-up, and he’s posted a 1.283 OPS while reaching base in every game over that time. Andujar probably won’t stay this hot over the rest of the season, but his hard-hit and swinging-strike (9%) rates are in line with his 2018 numbers, and fantasy players should expect Andujar to post an OPS around or above .850 as a result. Add in that Andujar should see everyday playing time with third baseman Gio Urshela (elbow) sidelined, and the 25-year-old is worth rostering in most leagues.
