4 years agoMinnesota Twins first/third baseman Miguel Sano (hamstring) was activated from the injured list on Wednesday. Sano has been eligible to return since Saturday, though the team effectively kept him off the roster for several extra days to give him time to fine-tune his mechanics at the plate. The slugger's return comes at a good time for a Twins team that will be down Luis Arraez (concussion) and Alex Kirilloff (wrist) for at least the next week. Sano will start at first base and bat eighth against Rangers' left-hander Hyeon-Jong Yang on Wednesday. Sano was batting just .111 with only two homers before the injury, though he did post the lowest strikeout rate and highest walk rate of his career through 15 games, so hopefully, the time off will help him get his swing going.--Tim Capurso
