Miguel Sano Records First Hit Of Season
4 years agoMinnesota Twins first baseman Miguel Sano snapped his 0-for-8 stretch with a loud double in the second inning of Tuesday's 6-3 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. Sano absolutely tagged a 2-1 sinker down the left-field line for a double, then scored on a Max Kepler RBI single. It is only one hit, but the encouraging part for Sano fantasy owners is, the ball left his bat at 106.3 MPH, the hardest hit ball in Tuesday's contest. The slugger finished in the top 1% of the league in exit velocity last year, when he bashed a career-high 34 homers. Fantasy owners should be patient- the home runs will come soon enough for Sano.
