3 years agoMinnesota Twins first/third baseman Miguel Sano went 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs and four RBI in Wednesday's 17-14 loss to the Tigers. Sano was an excellent run-producer for Minnesota, clubbing a two-run homer, a solo shot, and an RBI single to help power a 14-run effort. His home runs were absolutely demolished, exceeding 111 MPH of exit velocity, with the second homer a tape-measure shot traveling 473 feet. Games like these are reminders of the massive power upside Sano possesses, upside that hadn't been present for much of the month until Wednesday. With six hits and five RBI in his last three contests, he seems to be heating up once again ahead of matchups against the Cardinals and Reds.--Tim Capurso
