Miguel Sano's Game-Tying Home Run Goes To Waste
6 years agoMinnesota Twins third baseman Miguel Sano tried his best to be the hero on Wednesday against the Cleveland Indians. Sano hit a game-tying solo home run off of Cody Allen in the top of the ninth inning but it wound up getting overshadowed by a three-run walk-off shot by Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor in the bottom of the inning. The home run goes down as Sano's first since being recalled from the minor leagues in late July. Sano has struggled through a disappointing season, batting just .217 with a .711 OPS, eight homers, 24 runs, and 31 RBI in 184 at-bats. Hopefully, the clutch home run will jump-start Sano's bat as he heads into the home stretch of the season. He still has a chance to make an impact in fantasy if he heats up over the final two months.
