2 years agoSan Diego Padres right-handed pitcher Mike Clevinger has been activated off the IL. Clevinger was on the COVID-19 IL, but said he did not test positive and just had the flu. He will be available out of the bullpen this weekend, but his return to the rotation is still to be determined. With the Padres depth at starting pitcher, it is likely that they turn to a six-man rotation at some point, at least until an injury inevitably occurs. When he has been healthy this season, Clevinger has been solid, posting a 3.18 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 20 K over 17 IP. Clevinger should see some long-relief action this weekend, but his upside is pretty low with the knowledge that he won't be starting. Keep him on your IL if possible.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
