4 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitchers Mike Clevinger (elbow) and Dinelson Lamet (biceps) will likely be last-minute decisions in regard to their availability for the upcoming National League Division Series against the Dodgers, according to manager Jayce Tingler. “They’re playing catch,” Tingler said. “They’re building up. They will do bullpens if the catch play goes well.” Clevinger and Lamet were both forced to miss the best-of-three Wild Card series against the Cardinals, and there is a chance that the Padres will go into the series shorthanded once again if one or both of their front end starters are unable to join the NLDS roster by Game 1 on Tuesday. The Padres will likely rely on a combination of starters Chris Paddack, Zach Davies and their bullpen depth to get through the series if Clevinger and/or Lamet are not able to recover in time.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
