Mike Clevinger To Make Rehab Start
3 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Mike Clevinger (knee) is scheduled to make a rehab start on Thursday for Single-A Lake Elsinore. Clevinger began the season on the injured list with soreness in his right knee, but it isn't considered a major injury. Nevertheless, fantasy managers are running out of patience with the 31-year-old right-hander after he missed all of last year while recovering from Tommy John surgery. The good news is he didn't have any issues with his elbow in camp. The Padres will likely play it safe with Clevinger, so don't be surprised if he needs more than one rehab assignment in the minor leagues. When healthy, he has the upside to be a low-end fantasy ace.
