4 years agoCleveland Indians right-handed pitchers Mike Clevinger and Zach Plesac both worked five innings this week while at the club’s alternate training site in anticipation of being recalled to the big league roster. The duo are eligible to be recalled Monday, although there has been no indication to this point that they’ll be brought back into the fold immediately as they serve an indefinite suspension stemming from an incident in which they broke club protocol. While Clevinger entered 2020 with considerable fantasy aplomb, Plesac has looked dynamic in his first three starts, compiling 24 strikeouts in his first 21 IP while producing a 1.29 ERA. Both will be season-long assets immediately upon being recalled, so check back for an update on when they may toe the rubber for Cleveland.--Jesse Borek
